The Roland Center is dedicated to helping people strive towards their dreams and find
what works best for them to achieve their goals.

The Roland Center, also known as the San Gabriel Valley Training Center, is a nonprofit organization based in La Puente, California, dedicated to empowering adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD).

Founded in 1961 by Shirley and Ganzer Roland—parents of a son with cerebral palsy—the center was established to provide meaningful alternatives to institutionalization, enabling individuals with IDD to live, work, and thrive within their communities.

Our Goal
Our focus is to explore different interest that individuals have while still meeting their needs. We enable their transition to happen when ready with our continuum of services.

Our Mission
Our mission is to PROVIDE and PROMOTE OPPORTUNITIES for adults with developmental disabilities to live, work and interact in the community and achieve their PERSONAL BEST.
